I downloaded the most recent build - and tried to install it in Delphi XE.
1. MINOR - Windows 7. The components install into the Program Files directory - which cause a number of issues - like when you try to open the projecs to rebuild the components - users ar denied access to change files in those directories...
So I uninstalle - and then re-installed into my own direcory
2. When I run the recompile tool - It runs - but then provides an error...
Cannot copy file c:\..\Compiled\Delphi15\System\Glut32.dll to c:\Windows\System32\Glut32.dll Error code 5 Access is denied
I have Windows 7 - but my userid should be an administrator...
I ended up having to run the recompile tool as Administrator. To get it to run without errors.
Thoughts?
Bradley

Re: Installing in Delphi XE Fails...
Hi Bradley,
As per what your indications problems are solved running either the installer or TeeRecompile with administrative privileges, aren't they? I did the tests here using Windows 7 with an administrator user and didn't have any of those problems. The user you used didn't was not an administrator account?

Hi - the userid was an admin account.
But as you pointed out - "Run as Admin" was the solution.
Still something you might want to note during the install - as you are defaulting all files to c:\Program Files\etc...
That way others uses won't have to Install - run into issues - uninstall - then reinstall as Admin.

Hi Bradley,
As far as I know non-admin accounts are not allowed to install programs, are they? Also, during the installation process you are prompted to choose where you want to install TeeChart.
